Blog Post (ESOL) - Jenica Padiernos

As a year 11 student, there are some advices that I wanted to share with the incoming year 11's next academic year. I would like to share this stuff so that they will be able to prepare when they started their senior year. Here are the some advices that I want the year 10's to keep on their mind:

        1. Have a time management. It is the most important advice that every student should know                        because it is our nature to procrastinate assessments, tasks, activities, and such. Use your time                wisely. When you are already in senior year, time is gold. Do not waste a single minute in some              nonsense things. It is helpful to create a time management plan so that you can organize the                    things you have to accomplish withput even procrastinating.
        2. Finish your tasks on time. THIS IS ALSO IMPORTANT!! Finish your tasks on time so that                  you will not be overloaded with schoolworks. Being able to finish it at the given due date is                    such a relief for senior students. It is a good studying habits because you will not be able to                    stress yourself out.
        3. Always listen to the discussions. Listening to the discussion is a huge help because there are                  some information that the teacher is saying that might be included in the internal assessments. It              is very important to listen to important details because it may lead you towards excellence.
        4. Be prepared. As an incoming year 11 students, it is really nice if you are always prepared in the              things you might be doing at the start to the end of the year. Not just preparing for the everyday              lessons, it is also good if you are starting to prepare for the year-end exam so that you will not                put yourself into pressure. You can start preparing by doing a reviewer for each lessons and                    compile it in a folder.
        5. Relax during term breaks. As a senior student, it is very relieving for us to have a time to relax                and enjoy. It is also important to find some time to relax and free yourself from all of the                          stressful assessments and tasks.
Those are just some of the advices that I want them to remember. For the year 10's? Goodluck for you all next academic year!
